HEAR FROM OUR COMMUNITY

I am a 19 year old Performance Division student at HGMA but my journey at HGMA started when I was in middle school. HGMA helped me with my audition to Boston Arts Academy and helped me get into Berklee College Music. With the support and guidance from HGMA, I am currently studying at Boston University on a full tuition scholarship.

HGMA was a close knit family program that pushed the importance of learning Black history and music. All of the teachers were well accomplished musicians that I looked up to.
I couldn’t find high caliber music education based on Black music anywhere else that could prepare me for admissions into BAA and then Berklee! HGMA truly makes an impact!
